Cinerama Dome, Los Angeles

The Cinerama Dome used to be cool. I saw Apocalypse Now there, and The Guns of Navarone, as well as new movies. If you were to see 2001: A Space Odyssey there, you would see a filming mistake on the big wide screen that you cant see anywhere else - a static spaceship that jumps into motion from the edge of frame.

Anyway, they turned it into a multiplex, they charge 11 big ones to get in, they don't have matinee rates, and they want you to become a "member" so they can try and sell you junk. It's a big clip joint, and to top it off, the float pens are dull. They are all red, and show very little imagination.
